That was my point. Why say you are in a quiet period when in fact you are not. No comment was the professional reply. Quiet periods are put into place so the company, by way of information not yet disclosed to the public at large, meaning in short, everyone who did not ask, so you do not affect a material change upon the share price. By stating it was still in play that can be taken two ways, sellers and buyers. So the prudent response was no comment. It is almost as if someone lent their name to the position but not their expertise.
