Just a quick update in terms of my experience. Fidelity is my broker. I sold some Arcam shares to free up cash. I just subscribed to the shares I am entitled. Fidelity then allowed me to allocate a few extra dollars to pick up a couple of extra shares ..shares that are not pick up. Not much, more out of being curious and to see how this works. I had to talk with a broker from their international office, as the office I typically deal with was not able to handle.

The funds in my Fidelity account will not accessed/put aside by Fidelity until the shares are issued. So I need to make sure to keep sufficient funds available when this happens.

I asked the Fidelity rep if anything could go wrong. He said we did everything that is described in the offer but things can always change and change quickly (in terms of what is being offered by GE/Arcam). So better to have ducks in order sooner rather than later.

Not sure if this helps anyone. But thought I would post.
