Congrats to all DNAP'ers. While the initial contract is paltry, the significance of the contract is a blockbuster. Some of you have more than $50,000.00 invested here, so you know what I mean. The contract is a big step on the way to accreditation with NIJ as a validated testing station for forensic samples. Though this is not DNAPs' sole aim, it is another brick in a foundation that keeps looking to be a mighty big building! The government is very "pickee" about contractors and DNAP being "on the list" is a significant happening. Number crunchers who let out the contracts just look at a contractor code and a price schedule and award contracts on that basis. They usually don't care who what where or how, just cheap and on the approved list. The problem for a contractor is being on the approved list, and staying there. We have faith in DNAP to keep those channels open by doing a great job for the government.

Is it just up from here? Never has been but, we sure aren't spending time looking at the path behind us. Excelsior!
