it is important to understand the basic differences in hedge funds vs institutional buyers. Having said that , all funds operate slightly differently but in general hedge funds care little about long term outcomes. They buy to trade and make lots of money on small movement in stocks (they also lose money in the same way). The recent purchases are hardly an endorsement of the technology. They dont spend vast sums on medical and scientific diligence, they sense there will be movement and they play in that space by often 'hedging" their bets. This is accomplished in many ways, but the classic way is by using a combination of long and sh0rt positions. As a trader I watch their activity as an investor I do not
