Well this game studio looks completely dead. Not a single player on in almost 2 weeks, and management that built the game has stepped down. It's only a matter of time now until the servers are shut off for good.
There is no surprise here though. Considering the management (John Wise) made constant false promises to employees about stock options, even some in writing that were never fulfilled, from the start of the company and demanding the employees work 70+ hours a week with no chance of overtime pay, while taking a $150k a year paycheck before any profits were seen just proves this company was a scam from the start. Management didn't even stay in the office for more than 6-10 hours a week and gave little to no direction to the employees who were told they had to work 70 hours.
This studio was founded by a liar and a con artist. Simple as that. Shame too because at one point there was real potential in it. But if you're only interested in benefiting yourself, who could say no to 150k a year for no more than 8 hours of real work per week? Hopefully next time (if there is one) investors will realize dealing with this man will only guarantee a loss.
