Well if it was modified there is something missing.
The contract was for shootpacks.
$1m worth.
It was going to take approx 40 pounds

Now we are adding 5 times the amount of silk to the contract along with all the research needed for a new strain.

All for the same money?

Either they no longer want the shootpacks and the contract is modified for a new deliverable at 1/5 the price.

Or they still want the shootpacks and want 5 times more silk for free.

Or there will be a new contract for R&D and 200 pounds of the new silk.

I can't see another option. I am open to suggestion but I don't see Kim offering a 80% discount for the silk.
I don't see them expecting delivery in 60 days.

Modified I could understand. Add 5 pounds.

But we are completely rewriting an agreement from scratch.
I don't recall ever seeing a military contract changed so drastically so far into its term.
Guess it's possible.

Maybe we can get an answer from Kim if it isn't included in the SS newsletter
