Anheuser-Busch InBev creates bloody Budweiser for UK Halloween push

Anheuser-Busch InBev is turning its Budweiser beer "blood red" in the UK on-premise as part of year's Halloween activation.

In the week leading up to 31 October, the brewer is launching the Budweiser Nightmare Circus at 16 venues across London, Birmingham and Manchester. Each of the selected venues will be visited by a troupe with ring masters, contortionists and other characters, AB InBev said.

A trick-or-treat wheel of fortune will hand out prizes including Budweiser and a special food colouring for consumers that will fade into their beer and then disappear. AB InBev said the colouring is tasteless and creates "a unique ritual for drinkers as they enjoy their Budweiser".

Sascha Cordes, senior brand manager for Budweiser UK, said: "Halloween is quickly becoming one of the key celebration moments of the year, with people going out in search of fun, unique and immersive events - and we want Budweiser to be leading the way with our Nightmare Circus venue takeovers."
