But is he in custody already? If not, what are the chances he may have eluded his warrant indefinitely?
The warrant is to Broward County sheriffs, and might have Florida jurisdiction to go get him wherever he shows up, but I think you might need a separate warrant to the US Marshals service to go interstate.
As is, what resources I can find suggest that his name will show up if he gets stopped on a traffic violation, and they might detain him then, but if he doesn't go over the speed limit or make any illegal turns, he might get to walk free forever.
My questions are whether such a warrant can automatically escalate to a national one, whether this judge has the authority to issue a national one, and whether the warrant impacts his travel. He's sure not going to Florida any time soon, but I don't think they check at airports for whether there are any outstanding warrants of this nature on people.
David Foley might well have more restrictions on his travel as part of his probation from prison.
