You are completely off base here as far as company issued stock goes. The obligation goes with the COMPANY and the CUSIP number. The company is its own legal entity and the company issued the stock, not the CEO personally. I happen to have a couple of certificates for Series H Preferred Shares in this company and I don't care who the CEO is. If stock could just be wished away why would anyone invest in anything ever?
