yep just common sense. Big boards many stocks over $5 can get 2 to 1 margin. Most places sub $3 to $1 either cash or need 2-4x cash collateral. Very rare to find broker that allows sub $1 shorts and margin requirements are higher. Pinks and micro pennies? Need really big collateral and offshore broker. For the amount of money needed its just not worth it.
