Here's the regulations for San Bernardino County:

American Green can't even initiate incorporating Nipton without 500 registered voters living in the town.

"The 500 registered voters is a requirement of law (Govt. Code Section 56043) and the proposal must meet this criteria at the time it is submitted to LAFCO for evaluation."

Tell me, how is American Green going to house 500 registered voters on 80 acres of land?

Not like American Green has even been in contact with county officials:

County counsel informed American Green of the regulations in an August letter, after learning about the company's plans from media reports. Wert said the company has not yet reached out to the county to talk about compliance or cooperation. And he said the county hasn't discussed changing its rules, largely because no residents have asked.

Probably because of this:

"We may have come at it initially thinking grow and dispensaries and that, but the more time we spend out here, the more we realize while it’s something we still want to pursue, it’s not going to happen right here in the town," said American Green's vice president of marketing, Mike Rosati.

American Green is retracting focus on "Pot City" and now moving towards yoga, star gazing, hiking, and "nature educational workshops".

Waste of $5 million, and shareholders are paying for it. American Green is full of backstabbers and crooks.
