Led by Don Steinberg, founder, chairman and CEO, Marijuana Company of America is guided by his wealth of knowledge and global experience. Mr. Steinberg developed stock option analysis and trading programs in the 1980’s which led him to managing floor traders on multiple options exchanges. In the early 90s, he co-founded Globalcom 2000, among the first prepaid phone card businesses. Under his guidance, Globalcom 2000 became the fastest growing and among the largest phone card companies in the United States. He personally closed the account with 7-11, distinguishing Globalcom 2000 as the nation’s first corporate logo phone card. In 1994, Mr. Steinberg co-founded One World Communications opening 187 training centers in just 9 months and created the world’s largest International MLM global sales force selling telecom services. In 2006, he formed Club Vivanet, an international MLM, then merged it with a publicly traded company in 2008. Recognizing the emerging opportunities in the medical marijuana industry, Mr. Steinberg changed the name of Club Vivanet to Medical Marijuana Inc., which became America’s first publicly traded company in the medical marijuana industry. In 2011, he successfully managed the acquisition of Medical Marijuana Inc. and the transition to new management. With over 40 years of experience developing and running successful businesses, Mr. Steinberg provides vision, guidance and day-to-day management for the company, and is actively involved in its future and growth.
Charles Larsen, founder and director, has over 30 years of experience as an executive manager in government, public, private and start-up companies. In 2009 he was the founding President of the first publicly traded company in the medical cannabis industry, Medical Marijuana Inc. and the CEO of Global Hemp Group Inc. He has been actively involved in the cannabis industry in a full-time capacity since 2008, traveling the world researching the industry and developing relationships with key global players. He has been a sought after strategic consultant to many emerging and seasoned cannabis companies. Mr. Larsen has a significant background and experience in high volume securities trading, corporate and public debt, equities, options and futures, as well as being an experienced portfolio manager, securities trader and C level executive. He brings vast knowledge in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial and operational restructuring, public and private corporate finance, governance and compliance.
Robert Hymers, CFO was the president and CEO of Everlert until he left for the full time responsibilities of his CPA practice, as managing Director and CEO. He then rejoined Everlert, as a Board Member in November of 2014 to assist the company’s president with operations. A month later he was appointed the company’s CFO. Mr. Hymers has also served as the Vice President of Totalpost Services Inc. He is a licensed CPA in the state of California, and has provided tax services to several prominent entertainment companies during his career as a tax professional with Ernst & Young, LLP. His extensive experience, not only within the field of Entertainment, but also in a diverse group of industries, combined with his prolonged involvement in several different roles with Everlert, make him a key asset to the company. Mr. Hymers has also served as the CFO of the publicly traded company Global Hemp Group and is the Managing Partner of Pinnacle Tax Services, LLC. Mr. Hymers holds a Master of Science in Taxation and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy from California State University Northridge, and is the founding, managing editor of the University’s Tax Development Journal.
