That article was sourced from Snopes or some other more respectable site most likely and Mail doesn't bother most the times to acknowledge anything.

It certainly is a enquirer on steroids as witnessed by the never ending ads on the right side.

As long as you work to inform your daughter of incorrect data, don't ever stifle her willingness to share her knowledge with you.

It's the smartphone abbreviation syndrome that has gone beyond a short hand typing convenience into a undesirable conditioning pattern of actual thought process. At least that's my take on it.
