I did not say there was no one who used cryptocurrencies for illegal purposes. I said it is false that "many" cryptocurrencies are intended for illegal purposes by their creators. Very few are. And yes, the blockchain records every transaction ever made and cannot be erased or altered. Once you have someone's private wallet keys you can track everything. That is one reason many investors, especially super rich ones, are looking for currencies outside Bitcoin that have more privacy features, like Monero, to do transactions with. And even Monero is not 100% private. Yes, I am familiar with complex crypto addresses. I use them all the time. I am invested in a selection of cryptocoins as well and I've traded on many platforms and bought into various ICOs using different types of wallets.
