You can almost do a market buy at 9:45EST for svxy and be up 2-3% by close like clockwork everyday.

Same with UVXY. Every time sp and Dow have a nice long run and then run >80pps in one day, you can buy U at close on that day, sell the next and then get in svxy.

Of course it doesn't ALWAYS happen like this, but it's pretty reliable. Even if the major indices run huge and you long the vix, the likelihood that you lose a ton when the market opens the next day is slim to none. Just my two cents though.
