I don't use charts or look for gaps on stocks as a search . On stocks I follow /trade I use closing price as the start. Idra started it's recent nice run but never came back to fill the gap . It may have been at 2.20 or 2.18 but I noted it and placed a GTC bid at 2.22 to get a fill if it tried to fill . I've traded/held Idra for a long time [sold some at $6 and other points but have always held some] I agree that gaps don't always fill but when you follow a stock for awhile you get a feel for how it trades. These baker Brothers stocks seem to always fill their gaps. Bcrx is another good trader]. Stocks like CLF I trade a lot but never worry about the gaps. Works for me ...
