Anyone can buy. It's the price you pay that's the rub. MMs seeking to scare weak hands into selling at Bid. That allows them to cover their Short positions.

TMPS in a Short and Cover market. No sensible person is slapping the Ask. The only ones slapping the Ask are people who hate their money. Because their Investments immediately drop in value afterwards.

Be careful what you ask for. News may make it worse.
