Customers of Bank Zachodni WBK make about 2 mln transactions monthly through its application. What differentiates its mobile banking app from the competitors are m-commerce services. The newest of them is Cultural Events – a service for purchasing theatre, concert, opera, cabaret or festival tickets.

Owned by The Santander Group, Bank Zachodni WBK is one of the top three banks in Poland.


Today the bank officially launched a new functionality in its mobile banking application – Cultural Events. From now on, if customers would like to go to a concert, cabaret show, theatrical performance or festival all they have to do is open the application and buy a ticket for the selected event. The funds for the payment are transferred directly from customer’s current account.

Users can choose from more than 2.500 events available every day.

Cultural Events and other services available through the app – for example ordering a taxi in about 150 polish cities, booking a hotel room, paying for bus tickets or a parking spot – are delivered toBank Zachodni WBK by one of the top Polish fintech companies – Finanteq.

“We provide banks with a set of third party services as well as the m-commerce platform and integrate it with the existing mobile banking applications – saysAndrew Sierpinski, Managing Director at Finanteq – The final product is a mobile app that customers can use to satisfy their daily financial and shopping needs.
