I live in an open carry state, doesn't bother me at all. You think a thug with evil intentions in a store is going to carry out anything full well knowing that there is someone in the store with a firearm just the same as they are and probably knows how to use it as well?
Most likely not.
I really don't have a problem with it at all because in states that allow a CCW [concealed carry permit] they have to take classes and be certified to do so, I don't have a problem with that either.

Collecting data on guns is already happening it's just not efficient, time sensitive or very practical at all.
It needs a massive overhaul to bring it up to speed including more cyber identifiers.

It's split peas. A AR15 with a folding stock is an assault riffle, one with a solid in place stock is not. WTF? It's the same caliber gun with a different kind of stock.
It's an assault riffle plain and simple and the assault riffle ban should still be in place and actually reinstated.

I can go out and buy a AR15 right now and do this to it making it full auto in less time it takes to drink a cup of coffee.
I've never gone hunting with anyone who had more than a one shot one kill hunting riffle.

Do bump stocks making semiautomatic riffles into automatic ones make sense to anyone? Definitely not in my mind.

Of course if anyone brings up the issue of the AR15 not being an assault riffle they are sadly mistaken.
