your brokerage account will change from a ticker symbol to a cusip # and will show a value of zero. at that point you have two choices. you can have your broker declare them worthless and have them removed from your account and then take them as a tax loss. or, you can just leave them there and hope the company files a form 10 registration and that it clears the sec. at that point it would again have a ticker symbol and your brokerage would change your account back showing ticker and price.
