Yup, that's how these pump and dumps work. Toxics have deals with MMs to sell their shares first to any buyers and they make a nice profit.
Retail is just stuck unless they get lucky.

When you think "there can't be that many people falling for this", remember the Bernie Madoff story and recall that over $50 BILLION of smart money fell for a great story.
