Opinion:

The truth [between the pesimists (those that say the peak oil has already been reached), and the optimists (those that say not to worry)] as always is somewhere in between. Regardless, whoom you believe, we all have to admit that despite natural or induced fluctuations, the overall oil (and energy in general) price trend will be up, and only up going forward. Those lucky enough to load NOW undervalued oil (or other energy) related stocks such as CKEI, they will be very happy, IMO, in not such a distant future.
