When faced with a decision that tugs at our primal fears or desires our brains start to weeble and wobble and make decisions based on that primal drive rather than a well-thought-out course of action

You have to trade through every kind of market before you develop an innate trust in the system. This is why trading through all environments; low volatility, high volatility, bull markets and bear markets is extremely important and necessary to develop the trading skills needed to be the kind of trader we all want to be. Once you trust the set of rules you follow, your trading will be much easier and eventually will become as boring as watching a bad documentary.
