There are elaborate scams created but men and women of ill character.
But this is not BVTK. This is not Tom.
These are people who have thievery in their blood and absolute disrespect for humankind in their soul. While, on the surface, some of these people may seem respectable, sort of like Mafia Dons distributing turkeys to the poor during the holidays - in truth they are cunning, cold blooded insensitive blips of nature more comfortable in a hole in a forest than at the head of a church-committee.
This is not Tom.
I will not write a thesis on Tom's perfection because he is not that either. He is prone to hyperbole. He has left investors holding the ripped bag through RS's, and seems to be somewhat arrogant. However, he is also not the man who stays up nights plotting against those who have handed him money from the cut out pages of a book which acts as their safe.
Tom is a very mainstream man who does what normal mainstream people do, albeit those who are Type A. He fell in love, got married and had children. Normal and not suspicious. He worked in a particular field and gained expertise in that area. Pretty standard. Rising in the ranks people seemed to take notice of his smarts, his published papers and books and he was offered more than reasonable positions. That happens in our world, frequently.
Than simple, regular-old Tom became a real leader, an uber-expert in his area and headed companies and government departments, with brilliance and sometimes a mild-manneredness. Pretty standard stuff.
Today he oversees another of his ventures - BVTK and is neither performing magic or creating a dastardly blueprint to torpedo little old ladies fortunes, and those of citizens who live and will die doing awfully regular stuff.
Tom is Tom, a man doing what people like him do - achieving. Making missteps. Working hard. Showing successes after showing failures, then showing failures again, followed by a success, or two.
Tom is Tom. BVTK is BVTK. Both have flaws, however both have genuius. If anything the flaws are in us and how we need to see this man and this company. The flaws are in us.
Leave it at that.
