Assume we have 30 million shares, at $5.50. That's $165 million market cap. If they need $150 million and they dilute, that's a little over $2 dollars per share with dilution. If they were to use debt, that's a ton of debt and they'd be in danger of bankruptcy. You seriously see an alternative?
They didn't expect idiots to be selling off after reducing the staff to save $6 MILLION a year (that's $6 million you're not getting from anywhere else), still keeping GEN-003 for partnership (still looking for a partner), AND working on oncology pipeline in the mean time. That's great news, not bad news. It's like giving a 2 year old a $100 bill and they'd rather choose candy and cry why they didn't get candy.
