Because the longs have a nasty habit of claiming every document that is released is a hoax.

"Why not just go after Rufus the normal way, with letters backed up by legal action, rather than airing all the dirty laundry in public."

Good stocks are obvious. Extensive DD is how you convince yourself to buy a bad one.
