Based on KBLB's past public comments, KBLB was supposed to be in a position to start commercially producing metric tons of silk by now. He has high goals and lofty ones at that. If there is no PR with announced results to back it up, I would not put too much into what one person says until it actually happens. Any one person doesn't really know much more than we do until something is actually achieved. Kim has not backed off of any of his goals or expectations despite the seemingly slow rate of progress in getting to commercialization. I don't consider Uncle Sam contract commercialization, I look at it more as research. Until Kim actually makes a jointly announced sale of silk to a private entity with repeated orders, I don't think we can say commercial production or commercialization has been achieved. Do I think this will happen? Yes. When? Don't ask me that question because it should have already happened! The only thing we have to look forward to with definite certainty right now is the next issue of SpiderSense Newsletter which will give us a rehash of what we already know but will also hopefully contain something new info and updates on existing endeavors. But, we won't know what's in it until we read it. Until Vietnam gives KBLB the green light, which who knows when that will happen, it seems Kim's goal of producing metric tons of silk is not going to happen anytime soon without that central government approval. We have received little information about the amount of domestic production capacity other than we know that it has been increased. By how much, or how much can be produced, we do not know, but it is obviously inadequate to even meet the demand of the government contract. 2019 seems more realistic to me than 4Q or even sometime in 2018. Even with Vietnam central government approval, it will probably take a long time to ramp this up but who knows what is going to happen.
