Smith Barney refused to buy a penny stock
for me. Manager said they had been sued by others and
would not do the transaction. I had been there 15
years with 2 accounts. Moved everything to Schwab.
A few months back I bought a penny stock in my
IRA, which had no pinkies in it. Five minutes
later got a call from Schwab saying they noticed
the unusual buy and wanted to verify it was me.
I thanked them very much for the concern and phone call.
