I'm at a loss to explain the video at the 2:32 mark. I see two possibilities, either it's real or it's not. My inclination is to believe that it's real. It would be great to see what anyone can post as possible explanations. I'll have to look back for something I seem to remember about collaboration and product development between the AMRC and Arcam. I'll try to locate and post it. The video can be seen at http://www.amrc.co.uk/ - The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's home page https://mapp.ac.uk/news/university-of-sheffield-and-rolls-royce-a-unique-partnership
geadditiveWhen a part is finished printing in an Arcam electron beam melting machine, the part itself is encased in metal powder. This blasting process is necessary to remove the excess material and reveal the final product. The excess material can then be reused on another job. #NoWaste #AdditiveManufacturing #3Dprinting #EBM #ElectronBeamMelting godsson_dusse_xoReally cool
