I agree with you there..they need to just make it and get it out there...but the way it's worded on the release, it sounds like they want to release it and they think that by releasing it with a way for those who take pictures to capitalize monetarily from those pictures with a blockchain that more people will be willing to spend real dollars on the app (via a subscription or app purchase vs. a free app with no ability to monetize it) makes some sense as well..
