So it turns out Chevy does have an onboard system built into their electronics that already does what ONCI claims it does. That's probably why you haven't seen them mentioned in the PRs. Someone posted that Ford has the tech built in also, but I can't verify that yet. Huge R and D departments at these major car companies, so you know it's only a matter of time before they get something up and running. Gotta remember how much liability is at state with onboard electronics. How big of an insurance policy does ONCI carry for accidental death, or will the big car companies be the ones that do the payouts if something goes wrong like happened with Tesla about 5 times in the last year.
