Went to ATT Friday am when they opened for a phone issue ( dropped it in water , dooh! ) , and got a new iPad too. Was shocked to see so many associates in the store . I asked “why are all these folks here , are y’all having a meeting or something ?” I was told that it was the release day for the I phone 8 . I was there 45 minutes and only two other people came in , and neither were for the I phone 8 . The days of lines around the block are apparently done .

AAPL has done a great job of reinventing the wheel the past ten years , but the maJic may be waning based on my experience , all be it anecdotal evidence.

Coincidently, I ended up getting an 8 to replace my submarine ( waterlogged I phone 6) . Seems not much different than the old .
