The holder of assets doesn't simply give assets to the corporation - the owner sells them.
If someone decides to place assets into DOLV, it will do so only for adequate consideration from DOLV. The asset would hit the books, but so would an equal offsetting debt.
Say I wanted to put a $1MM asset into the shell - the shell would have to buy it from me - either for stock, or cash, or debt (I could finance the debt - charging interest of course). I'm not going to place my assets in a shell for others to profit from out of the goodness of my heart.
If anyone is thinking that assets will magically be donated or gifted to the shell, they're missing a pretty fundamental understanding of corporate finance.
