A couple injuries, especially after some rookies have been able to surprise from nowhere can lead to huge fantasy studs that can take you to a championship(Jordan Howard last year, although I was close enough to situation here in Chicago and watching him from day one of OTA's that I grabbed him ahead of time). Now, if there is what appears to be a sure fire stud on the wires, yes, spending the money out of the budget is fine, but so far this season, they have been more of the flavor of the week varieties. Shoot, the best out there was Carson, but he was a huge risk for the money involved(over $25 in both leagues) with Rawls in the wings. Would have loved to get him the week before cheap though! Higgins for 15% of someone's full season budget? Ugh!
I shall wait to pounce. Even if no clear stud pops up, come time for the final push for the playoffs, having more money than anyone also gives one a huge leg up!
