He already knows the value of the IP. Because of his substantial resources specific to this industry, he knows the value of the IP better than anyone on this board. He's known the value of the IP since before he ever initiated a play on Peregrine, obviously.

I don't believe I'm criticizing Ronin when I say that his obfuscation regarding the value of the IP in telephone conversations with individual investors is perceived as necessity by their organization. This whole thing is not dissimilar to an extremely high-stakes game of poker. The language used by Ronin is parsed so as to #1 forward their agenda, #2 protect them legally, and #3 show as little of their hand as possible.
