My response to this is simple. The mini was done on an entirely different plane, an entirely different model. The fact that the mini had impact on how other airlines perform the packaging of chutes/slides, is a positive and for reasons unknown to many, was not a positive to us. That was tragic, and it falls in line with the rationale of what occur in the old boys club of the New York FSDO... we all face challenges - and they could have packed it in - I am sure some of the old guard felt that way..but they didn't and that drive is what will propel them to success
