It might have something to do with using Safari as my browser. For awhile, while I was putting off uploading a new OS, I had to use Firefox. Safari wouldn't work at all. Firefox was no longer supported, and was an old version. But it worked.

However, it would log me off unpredictably. Shelly, who doesn't use a Mac and does use a version of Firefox that presumably isn't out of date, was having the same problem.
