Yes the first year has a lot of fixed costs with the land prep, wells drilled, solar system installed, machinery purchased and irrigation system installed. I'm sure there has been a learning curve that will be improved upon going forward. Once they have proven themselves as a viable farming operation I would think they should be able to get better financing for the cost of planting although I am not familiar with local Mexican banks at all. All I know is that we are trading far below the value of all the land that PGUS has aquired at a great price point. IMHO
