Summary:

We are a seeking a Senior Microbiologist to expand our recombinant protein research, design, and production capabilities.

Responsibilities :

Designing, building, expressing, and purifying recombinant proteins and plasmids for use in microinjections.
Perform plasmid microinjections and carry out expression characterization such as gel electrophoresis, and western-blot.
Improve and optimize plasmid incorporation and other desired properties into host silkworm eggs through targeted genetic modifications and other molecular engineering approaches.
Routinely track and document results in laboratory notebooks, databases and technical reports.
Analyze, summarize, and present experimental results to manager and other team members.
Oversee all laboratory operations and staff.
Position Requirements:

MS in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biology or related field, Doctorate preferred with 1-3 years of post-doctoral experience.
Experience with general molecular biology skills such as PCR amplification and primer design, gel electrophoresis, and bacterial transformations plasmid constructions.
Hands on expertise performing microinjection.
Successful candidates must be comfortable working with silkworms
Successful candidates must have solid work history with various genetic engineering techniques including CRISPR.
