Now that is something Polish and Hungarian. The two Countries fighting the most for their Culture and Country. You know part of the Ukraine was once Poland. Also, Lithuania was once Poland.
Many turned their backs on Poland big time including our Country and Great Britain. My wife is from Poland. She is 3/4 Polish, 1/4 Russian . Her family had a farm in Vistula Lithuania which was then Poland. It got taken away by the Russians. They fled to Poland, what happen after that is too long to write. Our young generation is lost for the most part about Europe's History as well as ours.
The Poles as we know were forced to learn Russian while they were occupied by Russia. Her family had to stand in line for bread, cheese and milk for hours. The Russians look down at the Poles and feel they should be slaves. That is where the word Slavic comes from. All the Slav Counties are looked down on as Slaves by the Russians.
For me my mother had family in Warsaw, they left during WW1 for a better life here. My understanding they had a Farm and it was taken away from them.
I have known many Poles who came here. I saw first hand when I was a teenager A few Poles have words with both Germans and Russians. In the end the Germans and Russians were lucky they were not injured badly. These Poles did not fool around and had a big Hate for both Russian and German .
