Yes, for every sale there is a buy and vice versa. But the "Trades" chart shows what actually happened. The SELLS are usually "Bid whacks" (sometimes by anxious investors wanting to sell in a hurry) and that is why the share price goes DOWN. The BUYS are usually "Ask slaps" (often by investors in a hurry to buy in) and that that is why the share price moves up. YOu can see the difference by looking at the "Price" of the buy/sell. (And adding up the BUYS and SELLS gives you the total VOLUME.)

And that is why the dump of those 37,341,944 ON THE BID (@.0005) brought the share price DOWN.
