Yerba Mate is a unique natural energy enhancer. A 'national tea' of Brazil.
There is no need to add caffeine to brewed yerba mate which has balanced naturally occurring caffeine within and other unique energizing naturally occurring nutrients. NewBev jacks-up the caffeine level in its yerba mate as derived from coffee. My concern is that yerba mate purists know yerba mate needs no added caffeine and so will not want added caffeine to their purchased yerba mate drinks, as yerba mate is unique unto itself with its ability as an energy and health enhancer. My concern too is the dilution of the 'pure' and 'realness' of the Marley brand. The Marley name is global legend. The Marley brand in its representation and presentation of a 'dilute' pure natural energy tea drink, which thereby requires added caffeine to mimick the real deal, may not be a wise choice as a means to support and enhance the Marley brand products. Word of mouth spreads from purists. Currently 'nobody,' meaning the main stream population, nobody knows about or what yerba mate is, so when people find out Marley yerba mate is 'dilute' and 'enhanced' and not the 'real deal,' the negative response may hurt the brand, and thus product sales. In that that to be socially 'cool' and 'health conscience' is to be a purist when in regard to natural and unique products and in this case a natural energy-uplifting tea, and then particularly when in regard to Bob Marley and thus the representation of a music legend and his family in the Marley brand, this will or may bite back on sales of the NewBev yerba mate and even One Drop drinks, and more so on both brands, Marley and NewBev.
