Elsewhere in the energy complex, natural-gas futures were last down 13.1 cents at $4.80 per million British thermal units, ahead of the release of weekly data on levels of natural gas in storage across the U.S.
Analysts at Strategic Energy & Research expect the Energy Department update to show an increase of 92 billion cubic feet for the week that ended Sept. 15. A year earlier, they rose 76 billion and the five-year average stands at 83 billion, SEER said.
