Mt. Gox Exchange was a poorly unsecured website, it was destined to be hacked. The original website owner knew this and that's why he sold it off because he didn't want to deal with the upcoming problems. He had no idea that Mt. Gox would take off so quickly. If customers knew how Mt. Gox was a poorly built exchange, they wouldn't have lost their funds by not using the plaform

Also, you can download Monero wallet here - https://getmonero.org/downloads/

The best way to secure any wallet is to Install your wallets on USB or External Hard Drives instead of on your computer. There's Youtube Tutorials on how to do that, it's not that hard. I always recommend to use hardware wallets or simply make your own with USB drives or External hard drives.

Even though Bitcoin doesn't have full anonymity now, it gave cyber police a hard time tracking transactions before chainalysis. What makes us believe that bitcoin is anonymous is the fact that wallets are not connected to our names.

The only problem with the Monero setting is that the majority of transactions occur with only one mixing, meaning that mixed transactions can still be traced. Maybe that's why you said it has been breached but we already know that but it's still much harder to trace than Bitcoin.

The only one that is truly untraceable is ZCash. ZCash was to be an alternative privacy system built on top of Bitcoin, ZCash is a Proof of Work cryptocurrency with no transaction records whatsoever.

Users are be able to make a transaction that will be completely encrypted on the blockchain.

ZCash uses zero knowledge SNARKS to make sure that despite all the information being encrypted, it is still correct and no double spending would be possible. The only information available on the ZCash blockchain will be the time on which transactions take place.

No sender or receiver address and no amounts displayed on the blockchain, makes ZCash the first truly anonymous cryptocurrency out there.

If Bitcoin was like Zcash, Ross wouldn't be imprisoned for creating the Silk Road website

So no matter how hard cyber police try to trace these cryptocurrencies, they only get more private for each cryptocurrency they breach and trace.

Bitcoin wasn't a problem for Bankers and Governments because it stayed in the Deep Web but now that people are finding out that Bitcoin is bigger than illegal activities, it started to become big on the surface web and the popular currency to use now in the Deep Web is Monero because it's more untraceble than Bitcoin. Cyber police have yet to track any Monero transactions to anybody and if they do, Deep web will only switch to ZCash.

Cyber police will be only tracking the time of transactions being made on the ZCash blockchain if they further breach Monero and Dash.
