So all PR3d does, is match the design to the part

You seem to be rather simplistic

Inspect
Establishes in-process metrics for each metal/alloy
Provides part quality reports based on statistical analysis of process data
Allows interrogation of suspect data to see if issues are significant
Allows for optimization and process improvement
Inspects every layer, every part

Contour
Monitors geometry in-process, something unique. New 3D prints are special because of their increasing unique geometry’s traditional inspection simply can’t inspect
Compares build to CAD model layer by layer
It includes optics and a data path to image 2D melted powder
Measures a parts adherence to specification of internal channels as well as external form

Analytics
Allows for HUGE data reduction that is a vital key to making in-process inspection possible. This data reduction itself is no mean feat.
Allows for trend, correlation and exploration tasks
Links critical in-process information across multiple builds, machines and shop floors
It uses unique algorithms developed at the worlds pre-eminent national physics labs
Allows information access of in-process and post process build data during the entire life cycle
Informs machine operators of quality compliance of every part built
Links the data analysis to root cause metallurgy to determine granular qualification of part conformance

The whole PR3D process
Allows very high quality and yield per machine substantially more so than conventional techniques in a mass production setting
Allows rapid qualification and certification in competitive industries (aerospace etc) backed up by supporting data.
Compatible with the new era of highly networked IIoT manufacturing paradigms
Is a reliable way to assure, and document uniform quality assurance of a single part made on different machines/locations/manufacturers. This is important as the AM process is inherently unreliable across machines.
Speeds up the start to certified finish process by huge margins by reducing post process work (traditional post-process inspection also lacks strong statistical reliability)

What it also does
Reduces need for slow post processing
Reduces reliance on X-Ray tech which is impractical on mass scale
Allows independent certification away from the inherently bias machine controls

Feel free to tell me any other independent commercial offering that can match this.
