I definitely agree that medical costs should be deductible, I'm just unsure what the numbers are that they are throwing around. Haven't had much research time. I just know that any time I've tried to deduct my medical, I couldn't because it was below the threshold of how much I needed to spend to get there.
Until I see actual numbers, I won't have any idea what the reality is. I've only heard theories, and the theories sound legit, it is simply wait and see where the numbers fit into the theories, for me.
I do believe that tax cuts will boost the economy enough to increase the actual taxes collected. It is just a question as to whether there IS a tax cut.
