YOU SAY THEY CHANGED TO JUST SELLING THE CHEMISTRY....are you referring to the SC Bluwood recipe aka Eco buildings REDSHIELD recipe ? this was leaked years ago.. again nothing proprietary.. anyone can source the materials and make it !


Preparation instructions to mix 200 gallons of Bluwood Plus

Ingredients as follows:

1. 91 gallons of water or reclaimed chemical.
2. 91 gallons of AF21 Fire Inhibitor
3. 18 gallons of Aqueous Infusion Film (MICROBAN) Conditioning Treatment.
4. 4 cups of anti-foam thickener. (5.4 lbs)
5. 8 cups of blue dye.
6. 4 - 50lbs bags of Perfect Barrier Dot Wood Preservative.(BORATE)

Mixing instructions:

1) Put on gloves, safety glasses and mask.
2) Fill mixing container with warm water to the 91 gallon mark.
3) Fill mixing container with AF21 to the 182 gallon mark.
4) Turn on mixing pump, add 4 bags of the P.B.D.W.P. (Borate) Allow to blend for 30 minutes or until the powder is homogenized. (Note you can do a visual inspection to see if any of the powder is still sitting on the bottom of the mixing tank.)
5) Reduce the motor speed to 150rpm’s. Now add the Infusion Film to the tank.
6) Add anti-foam and dye to the mix.
7) Continue blending for an additional 30 minutes.
8) Chemical is ready to be used in the coating machine.
9) Take a small sample of chemical in supplied vials
10) Take a 4 inch piece of 2x4 and dip into mix allow to dry
11) Create a batch assignment label. Affix to tote and samples
