He did. The issue (not with KMBJN, of course), is that:

a) Leo already released interim OM results -- OM was also blinded and the subjects were still in treatments, and

b) Leo, all along, had told shareholders that the company would be releasing interim data.

My point of view is that:

a) KMBJN, nor anyone else, adequately differentiated between the OM interim (which Leo obviously gave detailed info on) and the Prurisol interim, which we today find out won't be delivered as promised, and

b) Failing to give the market interim Prurisol results after, for many months, telling shareholders to expect these results, is gross incompetence. Either Uncle Leo wasn't aware that taking such a detailed look in an interim update could jeopardize trial results (very troubling) or he knew this and went ahead anyway with OM and planned to do so with Prurisol.

Are we to believe that Leo (and Menon and Bertolino) all didn't know that taking such a deep dive in trial results in an interim update wasn't best practices? Yikes.

Anyway you look at this situation, it doesn't inspire confidence.
