-- The move began late yesterday afternoon after six Senate Democrats called on the FHFA and Treasury to let Fannie Mae (OTCQB:FNMA +13.5%) and Freddie Mac (OTCQB:FMCC +13.3%) begin to build capital.
-- This morning, Cowen's Jaret Seiberg said he could see the FHFA either allowing a small capital cushion or changing when it collects dividends from the two. He's not expecting quick action from yesterday's letter, noting some powerful names who didn't sign: Sanders, Warren Schumer, Durbin
