The sad part is, they are only allowed to keep one tuna over 80" long, per season. His fish was around 97 inches. The captain of the boat went out the next week and caught one several hundred pounds bigger, and had to turn it back. My son was bumming for a bit, then I told him to enjoy it. He had a once in a lifetime opp and took advantage of it.

Besides, the day my son caught the 430 pounder, his buddy caught another one 232 pounds. I'm sorry they weren't able to cash in on the biggun, they aren't suffering.

Thanks for the reminders. The rest of that tuna was in the freezer. I thawed it out and have it soaking in teriyaki marinade right now. That will be dinner this evening.

I read your post about it being a beautiful day. I agree, hope you enjoy it!
